BIOGRAPHY

Dr J. Rumaiza had joined as an undergraduate student in the University of Colombo in 1994, and completed her undergraduate degree with first Class Honours successfully. On 17th Sep 2007, she joined as a medical officer at the Ayurvedic Teaching Hospital,Borella. She worked there for 9 years with utmost sincerity and dedication. While she was working as a medical officer, she obtained a scholarship to follow her Post graduate degree in India.Therefore, she joined as a PG scholar in Master of Surgery in Gynaecology and Obstetrics in Unani at Rajiv Gandhi University in Bangalore, India and studied for 3 years. On 7th Dec 2016, she joined as an academic staff (Senior Lecturer Grade II) in IIM, University of Colombo and since then she has been serving as a Senior Lecturer Grade II in the Department of Amraze Niswan,Qabalat Wa Atfal in Unani section.
During her period, Dr J. Rumaiza was appointed to various Academic positions. She has served as an Exam Coordinator, Mentor, Coordinator of the New Entrants and member in examination and other important boards.
Dr J. Rumaiza has published articles in international journal papers in the field of Gynaecology in Unani.
