Dr. Nadi Gayani Perera entered Gampaha Wickramarachchi Ayurveda Institute, the University of Kelaniya in 2001 and successfully completed her University education in 2008 graduating with Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) degree securing a First Class (honors). In 2010, she joined the University of Sri Jayewardenepura to follow the M.Sc. programme in Food Science and Technology with the Faculty of Graduate Studies (FGS), which she successfully completed with Merit Pass. From 2012 – 2014 she worked as the Government Ayurveda community medical officer of the secretarial divisions of Mahavilachchiya in Anuradhapura District and Kotte in Colombo District subsequently. She also extended her service as an Ayurveda medical officer in Bandaranaike Memorial Ayurvedic Research Institute from 2014 to 2017. During the period of government service, she conducted mobile clinics for Elders, government officers, nursery & school children while delivering demonstrations on NCDs, Traditional food, Ayurveda Daily Regimen, Maternal and Child Health & Nutrition on request of various Organizations. In addition to her main responsibilities, she contributed to live TV and Radio programmes related to traditional food and Ayurveda beauty concepts. In July 2017, She joined to the Institute of Indigenous Medicine, University of Colombo as a lecturer (Unconfirmed) and hope to provide her fullest cooperation in achieving institutional goals after completing her M.D. in Dravyaguna Vijnana.
