Professor Sameera Anuruddha Gunawardena

Dr. Sameera Anuruddha Gunawardena is a professor and board certified specialist in forensic medicine in the Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Colombo. He graduated from the University of Colombo in 2002 and obtained his Doctorate in Forensic Medicine in 2009. He underwent postdoctoral training at the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine where he worked as a Registrar in Forensic Pathology in 2011 & 2012. During this period, he also obtained the Diploma in Medical Jurisprudence in UK. His academic interests are primarily in forensic anthropology, toxicology and environmental health.
