Her research interests include Molecular Biology of filarial parasites, DNA based diagnosis of infectious diseases, DNA based diagnosis of genetic diseases, Gene manipulations in plants (Rice, Papaya), Study of polymorphism in plant pathogenic fungi using molecular markers and Study of gene manipulations in fungi.
